Man oh man is this place good! My new favorite NY style pizza outside of Manhattan. It's an unassuming little joint but there were few food options close to the Cambria hotel we stayed at on 9th and O. It was a quick walk over to 12th. Coming around the corner I smelled this incredible smell, and it wound up being Pizzoli's. It's small on the inside but they have a patio and amazing food. They also have a large drink selection, cakes, and a full case of Ben and Jerry's. We had a vegetarian version of their spinach pie and it was crazy good. The pie was a little small for what we normally get as a medium, but it was piled up with sun dried tomatoes, carmelized onions and spinach, I ate 6 slices. Crazy good pizza. When we are back in DC we are eating here. ~ Cj H
Best single slice pizza I’ve ever had in DC; biggest, best bang for the buck, and cheesiest. I was reading the reviews and had to laugh at a particular one that was displeased with the customer service. The employees were incredibly welcoming and accommodating to me, the pizza took about five minutes, and I feel very loyal to them based not only on the quality of the pizza but the way I was treated. As a longtime hospitality and food service worker, I can recognize good customer service, and I can recognize bad customers. Will I still explore other pizza spots in DC? Yes, but this is where I’ll bring my friends, and where I’ll come when I really just need a super cheesy 1/3 of a pie…. Like right now ~ Olivia
We got there at 11:50 one night, they close at 12. They came and unlocked the door and let us come in and order. At first, when he charged me $15 for two slices with sausage, I thought, well, that's the "we unlocked the door for you" price. However, when they came out with 2 pizza boxes stuffed full of the largest slices I've ever seen (each was a 1/4 X-Large pizza cut in fours) I realized we got a bargain. When we sat down to eat, we realized this was beyond ordinary pizza. Thin, crispy crust, flavorful sauce, almost too much mozzarella and homemade italian sausage that blew us away. We even had enough for lunch the next day. If you get a chance, go there!! ~ Chuck R
OK, so this is the deal, I always get pizza from this place. I’m more recently discovered this place about two months ago. I am a pizza eater, you can call me a ninja turtle! Of course, the area is not ID of course it is not an all, good looking place to sit down and have a meal. But the pizza is the best pizza I have ever had. I have an all types of pizza from the United States. , good looking place to sit down and have a meal. But the pizza is the best pizza I have ever had. I have an all types of pizza from the United States to South America the Caribbean Brazil, Colombia, you name it. I know the looks of this pizzeria is not ideal, but the way this pizza is prepared is more than idea. Take it from a real person who loves to eat and not only eat, but loves to eat pizza a person who loves to eat good food no matter where it is from. Go to this place and get your meal. You will not regret it. ~ Timothy H
I order from Pizzolis once a week. Have never had a bad experience with the food. I usually order thin crust Hunger Buster pizza and wings. Not a sit down place unless you use the picnic table outside. Much more of a neighborhood take out / delivery place. A little bit higher than ordering from Dominos or Papa Johns, but then again you get a much better product I believe. I order online and within 15 minutes it's ready - very quick and good. Pizza sauce is mild but flavorful. They offer other things as well beyond pizza; appetizers, sandwiches, salads, a few deserts and drinks. Again, not really a sit down place however. ~ Michael C
Top-notch service! Pizzoli's Pizzeria- Pizza Delivery DC was instrumental in helping me coordinate food for a professional networking event I hosted previously. I was able to place my order in advance via phone easily. When I realized I needed more pizzas, I was able to make modifications to my order last minute. Plus, the manager was kind enough to ensure I had a copy of the receipt for reimbursement purposes. All of the guests at our event said that the pizza was delicious. If I ever need to do this again, this pizza place will be the first on my list to partner with in the future. ~ M. K
Just moved to the area and needed a bite to eat on a rainy saturday night and found this spot near Logan Circle!. And boy am I glad! Its tucked away and you could easily miss it! But you cant miss the flavor these pizzas pack!. We got a Greek gourmet pizza and a side of garlic bread. The sauce that came with bread was amazing! Definitely not the Ragu marinara sauce I grew up eating. The pizza was cooked to perfection and to my liking, with bubbles and a soft and airy chewy crust that packed flavor in every bite! Good pizza in a safe and convenient location! ~ RyDawg084
We came for a quick dinner not expecting much, we ordered mozzarella sticks, Aswell as spaghetti and meatballs and it was SPECTACULAR! The Mozzarella Sticks were cooked just to the point where they’re perfectly Crispy, and the Spaghetti and Meatballs was very tasty. The Spaghetti was a large enough portion that after one order multiple people could share it! But overall the Staff were very nice and it was a 10 out of 10 Experience. I highly recommend this Pizzeria to anyone in the general area who is looking for a great place to eat! ~ Rhode I
I was walking past late one Friday evening and saw it was open. I am always hungry for pizza and decided to try it out. I ordered a slice and initially balked at the price ($6). When I got my order I was pleasantly surprised to see that what they call a slice was actually the size of 2 large slices. It was cut into 4 small wedges. Crust was crispy and didn’t droop when held at the edges. The pizza sauce was zesty but deliciously so. Not your typical slice but still very enjoyable. Highly recommend. ~ Jason K
We were looking for a pizza place within walking distance of our hotel. Pizzolis is a true neighborhood pizzeria tucked in between rows of townhomes just off Logan Circle and was only a 7 minute walk. We got a 14” pizza, salad, slices of Limoncella, carrot and cheesecake and 3 drinks! We had so much to carry the owner gave us a ride back to our hotel. So nice and we enjoyed the conversation from the over 35 year DC local. ~ Jo A
Out here for the 2025 inauguration and stumbled across this little neighborhood pizza shop and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Tiffany - letting that joking about fork & knife slide cause I know yall be using them 😂. A+++ Service! Ordered a large pepperoni pizza, ate it inside. The atmosphere was great, the neighborhood pizza shop vibes 100%. Coming from California, we dont have these and it felt great to experience this. Thank you! ~ Tay
This place is extremely underrated. I'm giving 5 stars not because it's the best pizza in DC but it deserves far more than the current rating of 4.1. This is high quality takeout pizza. Crust was perfectly cooked, crunchy, chewy, delicious. Sauce could be a tad more flavorful but overall experience is way more satisfying than Etto or Pupatella. Do not expect gourmet but its very comparable to Pizza Policy IMO. ~ Joshua R
Absolutely AMAZINGLY delicious food!!! Super yuuuummmmmyyy!!! We are in town for the week and I believe we may eat here every night. We had the chicken Alfredo, it was beyond delish, homemade and savory!! The hunger buster pizza was sooooo phenomenal! Then the chicken tenders and fries my boys loooved! Everything here was worth every penny! I highly recommend this place, it is authentic and homemade! 😋😋😋😋 thank you!!! ~ Sparkles R
Went here to grab some Gluten-free stuffed shells, gluten free meatballs, and gf chocolate cake. The gluten free garlic bread was an extra awesome surprise. It was all excellent and didn't trigger any of my very sensitive allergies, so likely great for celiacs too. We sat on the patio to eat and the setting, decore, and shop in general brought me back to places we'd visited in Italy. Highly recommend! ~ Chanteé H
We are a family of 4 and we were looking for a local pizza place. We came across Pizzolis and it turned out to be one of our favorite places we ate at on our DC trip. The location is beautiful; a quiet road where you can hear the birds chirping but it still feels like you are in a big city. The staff is friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend! We got the Greek Pizza and the crust was amazing! ~ benji b
Pizzoli’s Pizza was an experience of a lifetime! My mom’s maiden name is Pizzoli and all she wanted to do was travel to DC and go to Pizzoli’s Pizza! Gani and Tiffany did not disappoint as they made Happy Mother’s Day signs inside the boxes, gave us magnets and threw in some t shirts as well! Not to mention the pizza was amazing and the Stromboli was TOP NOTCH ! Thank you again and we will be back sometime soon ! ~ Jeff W
I got a plain slice of cheese pizza a few times, and was very satisfied. I always walked in, ordered, waited about 5 minutes, and got a hot slice of pizza that was larger than expected for ~$6. The cheese is tangy and stays on the bread, the sauce is sweet and delicious, and the bread is perfectly crispy on the bottom and soft above, while maintaining its structure. 100% A+ will be back soon again! Thank you Pizzolis! ~ Christopher R
Great little local and I assume family owned Pizzeria a off 11th. Nestled nicely in the Shaw District. Phenomenally tasty and large well priced pepperoni slice and it's sliced in 4s. I went for the slice about 3 times in my 2wks in DC. Amaze every time. On my last night in DC after missing my flight back to LA I went for a medium White Pizza. Fantastic! Give them a try. Opened pretty late, even in these Covid time which was hella cool. ~ Brandon M
Had the all meats Pizza in the restaurant. The pizza was the best that I had in DC. Very tasty!!! While the restaurant catered to mostly togo orders while we were there, we had a good experience having our pizza in the front. Had a good conversation with the owner, even though he was busy. Will visit again the next time I’m in DC. This is a true local pizza joint. ~ drandallas
After 8.5 hours in the car my family and I dropped our bags at the house and walked down to Pizzolis to grab a bite to eat. The food was delicious and ready quick. Cheese pizza is solid and sold by the slice. Chicken Alfredo is filling but you just keep taking one more bite 😋 sub sandwiches we toasted on the crisp white bread that melts into every bite. ~ Tom B
In DC for work and had a pizza craving. Conference center food is only tolerable for so long...ordered delivery from Pizzoli and the crust was top notch. Arrived hot with crispy edges and gooey cheese on top. Garlic herb sauce, fresh spinach, caramelized onions, sun dried tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. While the onions were a tad sweet for me, it hit the spot. ~ Melissa F
Pizzoli's is definitely my favorite pizzeria in DC! They offer a great variety of custom pizzas and savory sauces. We always order our pizzas "lightly baked" in order to really appreciate the delicious crust. We also use Pizzoli's for catering at my office. They are consistently prompt when we order for delivery. I highly recommend them to one and all! ~ Jeffrey W
I went this past Friday night with friends. 2 of us have to do gluten free dining. We were really happy with the pizza and pasta! They even had a personal cutter for my pizza, eliminating cross contamination concerns. Unfortunately no bathrooms for customers but otherwise we didn't have any issues and will be back. Great to have another tasty gluten free dining option! ~ Jae I
Gluten-free crust? Gluten-free dessert? This is the place. Along with your own pizza cutter to avoid cross-contamination. Delicious selection of toppings. I had the Farmer's Market pizza and it was full of flavours and heaped with ingredients. The gluten-free crust was crunchy but not dry. The medium sized crust fed two people easily. Would come back if I was in the area again! ~ Stephanie A
